Food for Thought

Note: This is not a blog post. This page is about random thoughts and realizations I have & want to share.

I’ve been to other countries before & I’ve acknowledged this thought but I guess I never truly understood the extent of it until now. Only being in Greece for about a week, give or take a few days, I’ve realized that the world is truly so big. It’s so big that it makes me think that my problems aren’t that big. I've heard people say this before but I never was able to fully agree and wrap my head around it.

There are so many people on this Earth. So many people that I haven’t even thought about. And everyone is doing their own thing, facing their own difficulties, and living their own lives. Although I did obviously know this, I’ve never truly been hit with the full meaning that there are so many people on this world who are doing their own thing and don’t bat an eye to think about you or your difficulties because there’s so much going on in their lives and the world in general.

We all have our own problems, but maybe our problems aren’t as big of a deal as we think they are (of course this is in general. I understand some people have personal issues and difficulties that are a big deal). In other words, why do some of us care about how we look or if we’re doing the right thing according to society? It doesn’t really matter as much as we think it does. We should live our lives to the best of our ability because life is too short and you’re just another person in this ginormous world. Let the small things go and enjoy it. There's so much to see and experience outside of where you are now and what you're experiencing.
